Humans synchronize to light. The suprachiasmatic nucleus is a small part of the brain that regulates the body clock. This tiny region, located in the hypothalamus, acts to regulate the physiological circadian rhythms of many mammals. Most commonly, the suprachiasmatic nucleus relates to behavior such as sleep, physical activity, alertness, and hormone levels.

Suprachiasmatic, recorded between 2016-2018 in West Los Angeles, explores the circadian rhythms provided through natural sunlight as they relate to the human body. Wind chimes, muffled field recordings, and trickling water work to make up the soundscapes of this EP. Part rap tape, part beat tape, it comes with features from L.A. based artists Tolliver, Pyramid Vritra, and Jay Cue. Sunshine brings all to the surface, and this project is meant to inspire movement towards light.
